Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly enhance patient care and clinical efficiency. Responsibilities
Assist dentists with a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all dental equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection prevention management policies.
Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners and dental x-ray machines while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques.
Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems, ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards.
Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, managing patient comfort, and supporting four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient procedures.
Monitor vital signs and assist in the assessment of patient health status before treatments.
Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical histories, and providing education on oral health and post-treatment care.
Skills
Proficiency with patient management software to streamline clinical workflows.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures including dental sterilization procedures, infection control protocols, and dental instrument processing.
Experience with dental equipment operation including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, dental sterilizers, and other clinical tools.
Excellent understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control expertise to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Ability to perform dental assisting tasks such as taking impressions, assisting during oral surgery or endodontic procedures, and managing dental x-ray imaging effectively.
