What You’ll Do
Clinical & Technical Responsibilities
Assist Dentists during procedures using high-quality four-handed dentistry
Prepare instruments, materials, anesthetic setups, and equipment for procedures
Set up and break down operatories according to scheduled treatment
Support restorative, crown and bridge, implant, cosmetic, surgical, and specialty procedures as needed
Take diagnostic radiographs according to clinical protocols and state regulations
Assist with intraoral scanning, digital workflows, and imaging technology when applicable
Sterilize instruments, operatories, and equipment according to OSHA and infection control standards
Ensure all treatment rooms remain organized, stocked, and procedure-ready throughout the day
Maintain accurate chart notes, treatment documentation, and patient records
Assist with lab cases, impressions, temporaries, and clinical materials appropriately
Monitor clinical inventory levels and communicate supply needs proactively
Support smooth patient handoffs between clinical and administrative departments
Maintain familiarity with emergency protocols and patient safety procedures
Participate actively in Morning Huddle prepared and ready to review the day’s schedule
Support schedule flow and assist in minimizing delays throughout the clinical da
Patient Experience Responsibilities
Help patients feel calm, informed, comfortable, and cared for during treatment
Communicate professionally and empathetically with patients and families
Provide post-operative instructions and patient education as directed by Dentists
Support a welcoming, organized, and positive clinical environment
Maintain professionalism and composure during stressful or complex situations
Team & Culture Responsibilities
Contribute positively to office culture and team morale
Demonstrate accountability, reliability, and professionalism consistently
Support operational efficiency and schedule productivity
Operate proactively and anticipate Dentist and patient needs
Demonstrate strong organization and attention to detail
Support teammates and office initiatives positively

Required Qualifications
Current Dental Assistant certification/licensure as required by state regulations
Prior dental assisting experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Professional appearance and demeanor
Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
Strong attention to detail and operational awareness
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with four-handed dentistry
Experience with dental practice management software
Expanded Functions certification (if applicable)
Experience assisting with multiple dental specialties or procedures
Experience in high-volume or fast-paced dental offices
