Job Overview

Responsibilities
Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for patient care.
Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to proper radiation safety protocols.
Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar software.
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.
Follow strict infection prevention management practices, including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures for dental instruments.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing patient management software.
Qualifications
Prior experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare setting is highly preferred.
Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is a plus.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure clinical confidentiality policies are maintained at all times.
Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and clinical procedures including X-ray techniques and dental instrument processing.
Strong understanding of infection control standards and healthcare infection prevention and control expertise.
Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and pediatric dentistry is advantageous.
Certification in dental assisting or related healthcare training is desirable but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate.
