Dental Assistant (EFDA Preferred)

The Woods Family and Cosmetic Dentistry is a boutique practice located in State College, PA focused on providing very high-quality dental care in a friendly relaxed environment. We are seeking a full-time motivated Dental Assistant to complement our team. The desired candidate must be willing to jump in and help when and where needed and go above and beyond to ensure our patients are comfortable and receive the best care possible. Responsibilities can include, but not limited to
Assist dentist with various procedures including radiographs, veneers, crowns, composite restorations, implants, Sure Smile cases and extractions
Comply with accepted practices to maintain a safe and clean working environment to include proper sterilization of dental instruments and equipment
Give post-operative instructions to patients after dental procedures
Schedule patients for dental treatments and prophylaxis recalls.

Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Perform various office tasks as necessary
Skills, Education and Licensing
The ability to have fun while contributing in a fast-paced team environment
Dental Assistant experience preferred
Must hold Radiology Certification
PA EFDA License preferred
Current CPR certificate
Experience with Open Dental software
Outstanding communication skills with excellent ‘chair side manner’
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
