Job Description
We are offering a great opportunity to work in a private practice focusing on full service general and cosmetic dentistry. We are seeking an all-star dental assistant to join our team 4 – 5 days per week Monday - Friday.
The Denture Place is a newly built state of the art dental practice that opened in March 2020. We are offering a great opportunity to work in a private dental practice that focuses on full service general and cosmetic dentistry. Our office is open 4 - 5 days a week (Monday - Friday), 8:00am - 5:00pm.
We are looking for a Dental Assistant that is friendly, reliable, and hard-working, who is willing to work full-time at our practice. You will carry out both administrative and basic dental duties to ensure that the dentist's office runs efficiently. Dental assistants should be well-organized, able to multi-task, and have great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures run as smoothly as possible.
Responsibilities
Use computers to update electronic patient records.
Assisting with front office tasks as needed.
Maintain client and employee privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Organize and maintain the cleanliness of patient areas, working areas, supplies, and equipment.
Provide quality customer service.
Welcome patients in the dental office.
Arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of shift to prepare for the day and attend morning huddle
Taking patient's records, impressions, and x-rays (X-ray Certification required).
Scanning patients with an Intraoral scanner
Prepare patients for treatments or checkups.
Assist chair-side.
Prepare and break down rooms.
Maintain various logs.
Assist with lab tasks as needed.
Sterilize instruments according to regulations.
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Keep the dental rooms clean and well-stocked.
Assist the doctor with patient education and explaining recommended treatment.
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures as needed.
Qualifications
Bilingual: English/Spanish (Preferred)
RDA or EFDA (Required)
X-Ray Certification (Required)
Authorization to work in the US (Required)
High school or equivalent (Required)
Associates/Bachelors (Preferred)
Dental Assisting: 1+ years (Preferred)
Dental Office Experience: 1+ years (Preferred)
Familiarity with EagleSoft Software (Preferred)
Familiarity with Intraoral Digital Scanner and scanning (Preferred)
Licenses/Certifications
RDA or EFDA (Required)
X-Ray Certification (Required)
Skills
Proven experience as dental assistant
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Good computer skills
Excellent communication and people skills
Strong attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable
Receptive to constructive feedback and implements it effectively
Provides support to team members as needed to ensure smooth workflow
Collaborates effectively with team members to support overall operations
