Duties
Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring efficient workflow and patient comfort
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies while maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
Take dental X-rays using digital imaging equipment ensuring accurate diagnosis support
Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Dentrix ascend ensuring precise documentation of patient histories, treatment plans
Monitor vital signs of patients before procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health standards
Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and coordinating with the dental receptionist for smooth clinic operations
Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to effectively communicate with team members and patients
Experience
Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred; familiarity with dental assisting duties is essential
Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix to document patient information accurately .

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
Hands-on experience with chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry for efficient patient care delivery
Ability to operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other imaging tools confidently
Understanding of infection control practices aligned with OSHA standards to maintain a sterile environment
Strong grasp of dental assisting procedures across various specialties including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry
