Dental Assistant
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
Pay: $20.00 –$24.00 per hour
Location: Elizabethtown, KY

Job Summary:
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering top-tier patient care and supporting our clinical team. You will work directly alongside our dentists during restorative procedures, take diagnostic X-rays, document procedures, and ensure the highest standards of sterilization and infection control.
Key Responsibilities:
Chairside Assisting: Assist staff dentists in a variety of restorative procedures (composite fillings, crowns, bridges, etc.) utilizing efficient four-handed dentistry techniques.
Radiology: Position and expose high-quality digital dental X-rays (intraoral and extraoral) safely and efficiently.
Sterilization & Infection Control: Clean, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment in strict compliance with OSHA, CDC, and practice protocols; prepare and break down operatory rooms between patients.
Patient Care & Education: Welcome and seat patients, review medical histories, explain treatment steps to alleviate anxiety, and deliver clear post-operative care instructions.
Clinical Administration: Accurately document treatment plans, patient notes, and procedures in our practice management software (e.g., Dentrix ).
Qualifications & Skills:
Active Dental Radiography (X-Ray) Certification
Current CPR / BLS Certification
Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical dental assisting experience preferred (strong knowledge of restorative procedures is a big plus).
Skills: Excellent communication, strong attention to detail, efficiency in a fast-paced environment, and a warm, empathetic bedside manner.
License: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited dental assisting program or active state credential (e.g., RDA / CDA).
Schedule
8-hour shift / Monday – Friday/ 9 am- 5pm
No weekends
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
