ScarboroSmiles is a growing multi-provider dental practice in Scarborough, ON, and we're building something special. We're looking for a Dental Assistant Floater who is adaptable, skilled, and genuinely passionate about patient care — someone who can step into any chair, with any provider, and make it look effortless.
This isn't a routine role. You'll rotate across our operatories, support a diverse team of clinicians, and be a key reason our patients leave feeling well taken care of. If you thrive in dynamic environments and love the feeling of a perfectly run appointment, keep reading.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Provide chairside support across procedures — from composites to extractions to ortho appointments
Rotate between providers and operatories in a single shift — you're the team's flex player
Set up and break down trays, process sterilization, and keep operatories running flawlessly
Welcome and seat patients, take records (photos, X-rays, impressions), and support post-op education
Fill coverage gaps and bring consistent energy — every patient, every provider, every time
What We’re Looking For:
CDA certification in good standing (Ontario)
2+ years of chairside experience — ideally in a busy multi-provider setting
Solid infection control knowledge and comfort with sterilization protocols
Level II X-ray authorization (preferred but we'll discuss)
Adaptability — you're not thrown off when the day changes; you adapt and keep moving
A warm, calm presence that patients feel as soon as you enter the room
