Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use in accordance with infection control protocols.

Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support and managing dental materials.

Take and develop X-ray images while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, accurately documenting medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding details.

Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying patient information, and managing medical documentation efficiently.

Monitor vital signs and perform basic medical imaging procedures to ensure patient safety before treatments.

Maintain a clean, organized work environment following aseptic techniques and infection control standards to promote a safe clinical setting.

Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care instructions, and preventive practices to enhance their understanding of oral health.

Experience
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and using 3D scanners for diagnostics.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records and patient privacy is essential.

Understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is required.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team practicing four-handed dentistry to optimize patient care.
