Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic A+ team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care, clinical excellence, and team collaboration. Expanded functions certification preferred.

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting dentists during procedures, managing patient flow, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Your expertise will contribute to creating a welcoming environment where patients receive exceptional dental care and personalized attention.

Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.

Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly in accordance with dental sterilization procedures.

Take dental X-rays using digital imaging technology. Take records with a 3D scanner.

Manage patient records using Dentrix software.

Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and addressing patient questions to ensure comfort and understanding.

Maintain clinical confidentiality policies and infection prevention management practices to uphold the highest standards of healthcare infection control.

Support patient management software use for scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and coordinating follow-up care.

Assist with dental instrument processing and sterilization to maintain a sterile environment aligned with infection control standards.

Support the dental team with chairside assisting using aseptic techniques and four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency during procedures.

Educate patients on oral health maintenance and post-treatment care instructions.

Skills
Proficiency with Dentrix.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures.

Experience with dental equipment operation including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other diagnostic tools.

Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention and control protocols as well as dental sterilization procedures.

Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds while maintaining professionalism.

Ability to perform dental assisting tasks efficiently in fast-paced environments.

Ability to perform lab-work, such as pouring stone models and creating bleaching trays.

Understanding of general dentistry principles along with specialized areas such as endodontics and prosthodontics to support comprehensive patient care.
