Dental Assistant for Fridays

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dental practice specifically for Fridays. The ideal candidate will support the dental team in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth daily operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Duties
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontics and pediatrics treatments
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments using CAD systems and other tools
Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
Provide patient education on oral health and post-treatment care
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and verifying patient information, acting as a dental receptionist when necessary
Maintain infection control standards and ensure all equipment is properly sanitized
Support the team with clerical duties involving medical terminology and documentation
Qualifications
Proven experience in dental assisting, with familiarity using Dentrix system is preferred
Knowledge of pediatrics dentistry procedures
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages
Ability to work efficiently on Fridays with flexibility for additional days if needed
Certification in dental assisting is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided for qualified candidates
Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in pediatric dentistry is a plus

Pay: $20.57-$34.52 per hour
