Job Description
Be one of the first people on a brand-new team.
Norwalk Dental Group opens its doors in South Norwalk this October. We're a privately owned, doctor-led practice, not a corporate DSO, which means the people you work with every day are the people making the decisions. We're building the team that sets the culture from day one, and we want an experienced dental assistant who wants a say in how the practice runs.
We have general, cosmetic, orthodontic, and oral surgery doctors under one roof, but you won't be expected to assist in all of them. Tell us where you're strongest and most comfortable, whether that's general, surgery and implants, or ortho, and we'll build your role around it. Want to branch into other areas later? That's your call, never a requirement.
What you can expect
A role built around the procedures you prefer
A well-staffed schedule, so you're not running between rooms all day
Pay that reflects your experience and the work you do
A brand-new office with new equipment and a cloud-based digital workflow
What you'll do
Assist chairside with four-handed dentistry in your chosen area: general/restorative, cosmetic, surgical/implant, or orthodontic
Set up and break down operatories and keep them stocked
Take digital radiographs [and intraoral scans / CBCT]
Follow CDC infection control and sterilization protocols
Seat patients, review medical history, and give post-op instructions
What we're looking for
Chairside dental assisting experience needed but not required
DANB Radiation Health & Safety (RHS) and Infection Control (ICE) certification, as required in Connecticut
CPR/BLS certification
Reliable, punctual, and calm with nervous patients
Team player who likes a clean, organized op
Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred. We serve our community in both languages.
Dentrix Ascend experience is a plus; we'll train you
What we offer
Competitive pay based on experience
Medical insurance
Dental care for you and your family
Paid sick leave
Paid holidays
Performance and referral bonuses
Paid bereavement and family emergency leave
More benefits to come as we grow
A few minutes' walk from the South Norwalk Metro-North station, in the middle of SoNo's restaurants and shops
Schedule: TBD
We're hiring now for our October opening. Apply through Indeed with your resume, and let us know which procedures you enjoy assisting with most.
Norwalk Dental Group is an equal opportunity employer.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
Benefits:
Bereavement leave
Employee discount
Family leave
Health insurance
On-the-job training
Opportunities for advancement
Paid sick time
Paid time off
Referral program
Safety equipment provided
Work Location: In person
