What You’ll Do
Prepare patients for dental exams, take medical histories, radiographs, and assist the dentist during treatment.
Maintain and sterilize instruments, operatories, and lab areas while ensuring compliance with OSHA and infection control standards.
Support patient self-management goals, provide oral hygiene education, and perform delegated clinical tasks such as sealants, polishing, and impressions.
Manage supplies, purchase orders, and perform equipment maintenance, lab duties, and emergency equipment checks.
Assist team members, train new assistants, and participate in continuing education and workshops.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
BLS Certificate from American Red Cross or American Heart Association )
Radiography (X-Ray) Certification
Infection Control/Sterilization Certification
Medical Emergencies (Dental Office Certification)
Dental Assistant Certification
Current NC Driver’s License
Preferred:
Coronal Polishing Certification
Dental Assistant Program Diploma
One (1) year of clinical experience in a primary care, community health, or outpatient setting
Experience with underserved or rural populations
Familiarity with team-based care or PCMH/PCHH models
Bilingual
