About the Role:
FULL-TIME opening for an experienced Dental Assistant for a well-established Dentist in a modern office located in Flemington, NJ. Main responsibilities include chair-side assisting of Dentist, taking patient X-rays, sterilization, intra-oral patient scanning, setting up rooms, and patient education. The ideal candidate must be an experienced Dental Assistant with a valid NJ dental X-ray license. Days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, approximately 32 hours. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing practice with a patient-oriented team!
Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and preventive treatments
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms between patients
Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed
Greet patients, review medical histories, and ensure a comfortable patient experience
Record treatment information and update patient charts accurately
Educate patients on post-treatment care and proper oral hygiene practices
Manage dental supply inventory and assist with ordering materials as needed
Requirements:
Prior dental assisting experience preferred; recent graduates welcome to apply
Dental radiography certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
