Family Dental Arts of Florida is seeking an experienced, dependable, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team.

We are looking for someone who is professional, organized, personable with patients, and comfortable working in a busy general dental practice. The ideal candidate will be able to assist efficiently with a variety of procedures while helping maintain excellent patient care and smooth clinical operations.

Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during general and restorative dental procedures
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment before procedures
Seat patients and review relevant medical and dental history
Take and process digital dental radiographs when appropriately trained and certified
Assist with crowns, bridges, fillings, extractions, root canal procedures, dentures, partials, implants, and other dental procedures
Take impressions and digital scans when appropriate
Assist with temporary crowns and other expanded functions for which the assistant is properly trained
Maintain proper infection-control and sterilization protocols
Clean, disinfect, and turn over treatment rooms efficiently
Sterilize and organize dental instruments
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and assist with charting
Enter or update clinical information in the practice-management system
Review post-operative instructions with patients as directed
Help maintain dental supplies and notify management when inventory needs to be reordered
Coordinate with the front desk and clinical team to maintain efficient patient flow
Provide compassionate and professional care to patients
Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Qualifications
Previous dental assisting experience required
Minimum 1–2 years of dental assisting experience preferred
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, instruments, and materials
Experience taking digital dental radiographs preferred
Florida dental radiography certification or appropriate training preferred
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) training/certification preferred
Strong infection-control and sterilization knowledge
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication and patient-care skills
Dependable, punctual, organized, and team-oriented
Comfortable working in a fast-paced dental environment
Experience with Open Dental preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Experience With the Following Is a Plus
Experience assisting with any of the following is highly desirable:
Crown and bridge procedures
Endodontic procedures
Surgical and routine extractions
Dental implants
Implant restorations
Dentures and partial dentures
Digital impressions and intraoral scanning
CBCT and digital radiography
Compensation
$20.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience, clinical skills, certifications, and qualifications.

Candidates with strong dental assisting experience, expanded-functions training, implant experience, and proficiency with dental technology may qualify toward the higher end of the pay range.
