Job Description

Dental Assistant – Full-time, Pearisburg
The Community Health Center of the New River Valley is seeking one full-time chair-side Dental Assistant for our Pearisburg Center Monday – Thursday, 7:30 – 6pm.
Duties include: assisting dentist with patient management during dental procedures, documenting patient information, materials prep, prepares/maintains dental equipment, sterilization, taking vital signs, charting and inventory. Maintains infection control in operatories, equipment and lab. Must demonstrate good communication skills, positive attitude and be able to work in a team environment.
Must have high school diploma/GED, 1-2 years’ dental office experience, dental x-ray certification, current CPR certification and knowledge of electronic health records. Preference given to those with a Dental Assistant certificate and multiple years of experience.
