Dental Assistant Full Time Position

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full-Time Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.

Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary equipment such as dental x-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other dental imaging devices.

Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) ensuring adherence to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.

Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Gather vital signs and medical history information from patients to assist with comprehensive care planning.

Process dental instruments through proper sterilization procedures following infection control standards.

Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and providing pre- and post-treatment instructions.

Maintain clinical cleanliness and organization of dental equipment while adhering to healthcare infection prevention and control policies.

Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to ensure efficient workflow and excellent patient care.

Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment procedures, and the use of dental equipment or prosthetics as needed.

Skills
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing patient records and appointments.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical procedures including X-ray techniques and oral surgery protocols.

Experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and dental instrument processing.

Familiarity with dental equipment including 3D scanners, dental x-ray units, intraoral cameras, and other clinical tools.

Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in general dentistry settings as well as specialized areas like pediatric dentistry or prosthodontics.

Excellent patient management skills with a focus on compassionate care and effective communication.

Understanding of healthcare infection prevention standards and clinical confidentiality policies to ensure compliance at all times.

Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and medical documentation practices for accurate record keeping.
