Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for patient appointments.
Take dental radiographs (digital X-rays including pans and cone beam scans), ensuring proper technique and patient safety in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, including updating medical histories and documenting procedures.
Support infection control protocols by practicing aseptic techniques and maintaining a clean, safe environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
Assist with medical imaging procedures and vital signs measurement to support comprehensive patient assessments.
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist when needed and managing medical documentation for accurate record keeping.
Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and the importance of maintaining good dental hygiene.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting, with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
Familiarity with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures.
Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, team members, and healthcare professionals.
