Dental Assistant
Location: Rockwood, Tennessee
Job Type: Contract | Onsite
Schedule: Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 4:30 PM pay rate : $ 700 To $ 800 per week
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Dental Assistant 2 for a contract opportunity in Rockwood, Tennessee. The Dental Assistant will work under the direct supervision of a licensed Dentist, providing chairside assistance, preparing patients for procedures, taking dental radiographs, maintaining records, and supporting patient education.
Responsibilities
Prepare patients and operatories for dental procedures.
Provide four-handed chairside assistance during examinations and treatments.
Expose and prepare dental X-rays for review.
Review medical histories and document dental conditions and treatments.
Maintain accurate patient charts, records, and reports.
Schedule appointments, answer telephone calls, and organize daily schedules.
Follow infection control and workplace safety guidelines.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Assist with community outreach and oral health activities.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and Tennessee Department of Health requirements.
Requirements
Qualified/registered Dental Assistant in accordance with Tennessee requirements.
Certification/qualification to expose and develop dental radiographs required.
Ability to provide effective chairside and four-handed dental assistance.
Knowledge of infection control and dental safety procedures.
Strong patient communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Current applicable dental license/certification must be maintained throughout the assignment.
