We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team! Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatrics, ensuring all tools and materials are prepared and sterilized according to infection prevention management protocols.
Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and dental chairs while maintaining strict adherence to aseptic techniques and clinical confidentiality policies.
Take high-quality dental X-rays and medical imaging, ensuring accurate positioning and patient comfort.
Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, documenting treatment details clearly and accurately.
Support patient management by taking vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and providing patient education on oral health practices.
Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by processing dental instruments, sterilizing equipment, and following infection control standards.
Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient flow from reception to treatment completion.
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing patient inquiries professionally.
Qualifications
2 years+ proven experience as a Dental Assistant in general dentistry.
Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health.
Skilled in dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and infection prevention management.
Certification in dental radiography (X-ray) is required; additional certifications in oral surgery or endodontics are advantageous.
Strong understanding of dental equipment operation including 3D scanners, dental x-ray units, and other clinical tools.
Excellent communication skills for patient care, education, and team collaboration.
Ability to maintain clinical confidentiality policies while managing sensitive medical records.
Commitment to healthcare infection prevention and control standards with attention to aseptic technique.
