Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant - II, where your expertise will elevate patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will support dentists across a variety of specialties, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Duties
Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and patient comfort
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment following strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans, ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety
Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft , ensuring precise documentation of procedures, vital signs, and medical history in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, updating patient information, and managing medical documentation and records
Educate patients on oral health practices using dental terminology tailored to their understanding, especially in pediatric dentistry cases
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control standards and anatomy knowledge for safe practice
Experience
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry preferred
Hands-on experience with chairside assisting across multiple specialties such as prosthodontics, endodontics, and orthodontics
Proficiency in dental software platforms like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, billing, and record management
Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or similar platforms
Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient safety standards
Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and anatomy relevant to dental procedures
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the dental team including dental receptionists and other clinical staff
