Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental X-rays while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical and dental histories.
Have knowledge of all aspects of dentistry.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Professional and courteous with patients.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient office operations.
Perform administrative tasks as needed, including managing inventory and ordering supplies.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with familiarity in general dentistry practices.
Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical and dental terminology is essential for effective communication with patients and staff.
Experience in digital dentistry is a plus, enhancing our ability to cater to younger patients.
Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming environment for patients.
Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Certification in CPR or First Aid is preferred but not mandatory.
Bilingual is a plus
Will to work exclusively with one Dentist in all fields of dentistry.
