Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care and possess strong technical skills in various dental procedures. This role involves assisting the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic, and maintaining a safe and sterile environment.

Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.

Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring proper sterilization and infection control protocols are followed.

Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as open dental.

Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics.

Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.

Manage dental office tasks including scheduling appointments, handling medical documentation, and maintaining patient records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Utilize 3D scanners for imaging as required by specific procedures.

Ensure the dental clinic is organized, clean, and compliant with all health regulations.

Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.

Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques is essential.

Experience with dental coding, dental records management, and documentation practices is beneficial.

Knowledge of infection control standards and practices within a dental environment is required.
