Job Description
Beaver Family Dentistry is looking for a friendly, dependable Dental Assistant to join our NEW dental practice in Manquin, VA!
We are seeking an experienced oral healthcare professional to provide direct patient care and support. The ideal candidate will be certified and have at least three years of experience in a dental assisting role.
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic who also demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Primary Roles and Responsibilities
Provide chairside assistance during procedures such as fillings, extractions, crowns, and root canals, and ensure smooth workflow.
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in compliance with infection control protocols
Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable and at ease
Update health histories, chart treatment plans, and maintain accurate patient records
Manage inventory, stock dental materials, and assist with front office tasks as needed
Practice four-handed dentistry, including suctioning and anticipating the dentist’s needs
Take and process X-rays, dental impressions, and study models
Perform lab duties such as pouring, trimming, and polishing casts, fabricating temporary restorations, and cleaning removable appliances
Provide post-procedure care instructions, including oral hygiene and dietary guidance
Maintain CPR/BLS certification and assist in managing emergencies
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
