Dental Assistant

Job Summary:

Duties:

- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing patient comfort

- Take x-rays as directed by the dentist

- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns

- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic dental software

- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment calendar

- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment

- Assist with front office tasks such as answering phone calls, verifying insurance information, and billing
Experience:

- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred

- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures

- Proficiency in taking patient vital signs and conducting patient assessments

- Experience with Itero and cerec is a plus
