Dental Assistant Instructor

A dental assisting instructor is responsible for the development, implementation, management, and teaching of a curriculum. Such curriculum will qualify persons for employment in a dental office setting. The dental assisting instructor will also provide all classroom/laboratory instruction and will be responsible for training site acquisition, student placement, and supervision.

Minimum of 5 years of Dental Assisting preferred but not required. Essential skills required to be a dental assisting instructor include good knowledge of dental practices and procedures including practical ethics and confidentiality; basic dental records, charts, and forms; dental terminology; and a sound knowledge of instructional methods and techniques. Solid Dental assisting experience background desired.

The instructor must be able to conduct classroom and lab activities according to program requirements to ensure that students acquire the personal interaction and professional skills to be effective. The instructor will be responsible for preparing lesson plans that align with industry-standard approaches.
