Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pediatric Dental Assistant specializing in Inventory Management to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of dental clinic operations, including inventory control, clinical assistance, and patient care. Responsibilities
Manage and maintain dental supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and timely reordering to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Assist dental practitioners during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and sterilized equipment following aseptic techniques and infection control standards.
Support clinical procedures such as X-ray imaging and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft for accurate medical records management and documentation.
Assist with dental imaging procedures for pediatric patients
Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols and OSHA guidelines.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow, including reception duties as a dental receptionist when needed.
Experience
Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting with familiarity in dental assisting roles is required.
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly desirable.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining patient confidentiality is essential.
Experience with infection control procedures, sterilization techniques, and aseptic protocols is necessary.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
Background in pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to manage inventory effectively within a healthcare environment.
