Job Description
Job Summary
Our office has an opening for a friendly and outgoing dental assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
Assist dentists chairside during various procedures such as X-ray imaging, restorative and implant dentistry.
Take dental X-rays and scan patients as needed
Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and dental terminology to promote ongoing oral hygiene practices.
Process dental instruments efficiently following sterilization procedures and ensure all clinical equipment is functioning properly.
Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist by managing appointment scheduling through patient management software and coordinating patient flow seamlessly.
Qualifications
Experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic environment.
Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dentistry.
Familiarity with dental equipment including X-ray machines, sterilization tools, 3D scanners, and other clinical instruments.
Strong understanding of infection control practices including healthcare infection prevention and control expertise.
Ability to perform dental instrument processing, dental sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques effectively.
Excellent communication skills to support patient care and collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry settings.
Certification in radiography (dental X-ray) is required.
