Job Description
Registered Dental Assistant — Permanent, Part-Time
Kenora, Ontario | 3 days per week (approx. 24 hours), with a possible 4th day
Our busy, well-established Kenora dental office is growing — a second dentist joins the team this fall — and we are hiring a Registered Dental Assistant to work chairside with our doctors. This is a permanent position, not a temporary contract.
What you'll do
Provide chairside assisting for general dentistry procedures
Take radiographs (HARP certification preferred)
Set up, turn over and break down operatories between patients
Support instrument processing and sterilization as needed
Help keep a fast-paced schedule running on time
What we're looking for
Level I dental assisting certification is ideal; HARP certification preferred
Out-of-province candidates welcome — dental assisting is not regulated in Ontario, so a Level II or HARP credential from another province transfers with no additional Ontario certification required
Reliable attendance — this is the single most important quality for us
A team-first attitude: our clinical team backs each other up, and we have no drama
Candidates without dental experience but with strong customer-service backgrounds and a genuine desire to learn chairside will be considered; we're open to sponsoring HARP training
What we offer
Permanent part-time schedule: roughly 24 hours over three 8-hour days, with a fourth day available if you want closer to 32 hours
Benefits eligibility
A supportive, collaborative clinical team and an experienced office manager
A stable, busy practice with two doctors and no shortage of patients
How to apply
Please send your resume and a short note about your availability. Applicants relocating to Kenora are encouraged to apply
