Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly contribute to providing exceptional patient care. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly according to infection control standards.
Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments.
Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Provide chairside assistance through four-handed dentistry techniques, supporting efficient workflow and patient comfort.
Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging or procedures that require knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Support the front desk team as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries using EMR systems like Dentrix or Epic.
Qualifications
Proven experience working in a dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical documentation and records.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control standards to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
Skilled in taking X-rays, including digital imaging with 3D scanners, and understanding dental terminology related to various specialties like prosthodontics or endodontics.
Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques essential for safe dental assisting.
Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist with pediatric dentistry procedures confidently.
