Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of providing exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists in delivering efficient, comfortable, and comprehensive dental treatments. Your expertise will ensure smooth clinic operations, patient comfort, and adherence to the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments, dental materials, and necessary supplies for each patient appointment
Assist dentists during various procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and care
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring proper technique and patient safety
Manage electronic medical records using EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient privacy
Perform chairside assisting with aseptic techniques, vital signs measurement, and medical documentation to support accurate medical records and coding
Educate patients on post-treatment care, oral hygiene practices, and answer their questions confidently
Support infection control protocols by adhering to strict sterilization procedures and maintaining a clean clinical environment
Experience
Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry practices
Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and understanding of anatomy relevant to dental procedures
Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic or other medical documentation platforms is a plus
Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment
Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while ensuring patient safety and comfort
Experience in chairside assisting across multiple specialties including endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry is advantageous
Strong communication skills as a dental receptionist may be required at times to coordinate appointments and patient flow
