Job Description
Job Summary
We are an established and progressive periodontal practice with offices in Mississauga and Milton. We are expanding our practice and are looking for a Dental Assistant who is friendly, enthusiastic, willing to learn and works well in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to work and learn from a highly experienced team of dental professionals.
Our office is open Monday-Thursday.
No evenings and no weekends.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist chair-side during all periodontal exams and procedures
Clinical chair-side assisting duties include knowledge of instrumentation, taking digital x-rays and charting periodontal measurements
Maintain treatment room and instruments in accordance with sterilization standards and practice protocols
Discuss treatment plans with patients and create a welcoming experience for them
Qualifications:
Harp certification is a requirement
Minimum 2 years experience as a dental assistant
Knowledge in using Dentrix is an asset
Experience in periodontics and implant dentistry is an asset
Fluency in the English language
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Collaberative team player
Excellent time management skills and organizational abilities
Well developed key boarding skills
