Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Level II Dental Assistant, where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, orthodontic, and pediatric treatments
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), utilizing CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools when necessary for precise imaging
Manage patient records using dental software such as Epic or Dentrix to ensure accurate documentation and scheduling
Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist—answering phones, scheduling appointments, and greeting patients with warmth and professionalism
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions to promote optimal health outcomes
Support orthodontic procedures by assisting with appliance placement and adjustments as needed
Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant Level II or similar role with a strong understanding of dental assisting procedures
Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix or Epic for scheduling and record management
Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Ability to operate CAD systems for digital imaging and treatment planning
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds
Certification in Dental Assisting from an accredited program; additional certifications in orthodontics or pediatrics are a plus
Familiarity with dental reception duties including appointment scheduling and insurance processing is highly desirable
