We’re on the lookout for a Level II Dental Assistant to join our growing team at Stars Orthodontics on a full-time basis.
If you love connecting with people, have a curiosity (or passion!) for orthodontics, and take pride in delivering top-notch care, you might be exactly who we’re looking for.
At Stars Orthodontics, we’re more than just a clinic — we’re a team that genuinely enjoys working together. We’re seeking an energetic, positive, and down-to-earth dental assistant who’s excited to step into (or grow within) the world of orthodontics.
Located in the heart of downtown Ottawa, we’ve been creating confident smiles for patients of all ages since 2021 — and we’re just getting started.
No orthodontic experience? No problem! We provide ample hands-on training and support to help you feel confident, succeed, and truly enjoy your role.
Who You Are
A true people-person who loves making patients smile
Reliable, committed, and easy to work with
A team player with strong communication skills
Detail-oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Passionate about providing excellent care
Eager to learn, grow, and be part of something exciting
What You’ll Be Doing
Assist the Orthodontist during various procedures
Perform various dental assisting tasks including taking impressions, digital I Tero scans, taking radiographs (Panorex and Cephalogram only).
Assist with sterilizing dental instruments (a dedicated Sterilization tech is present).
Maintain accurate dental records, document dental visits in our software.
Provide patients with oral hygiene, dietary, and appliances instructions
Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions
Other clinical duties that are inline with the level II scope of practice.
Skills & Requirements
Registered Dental Assistant Level II in Ontario (required)
Orthodontic experience is an asset, but not required — we’re happy to train the right candidate
Strong customer service skills and a patient-first mindset
Perks & Benefits
Flexible schedule
No evenings or weekends required
Office hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Occasional Fridays (1–2 times per month)
Maximum 43 hours per week
On-site parking
Wellness program
Our team of “Stars” speaks English, French, Arabic, Cantonese, Turkish, Filipino, Mandarin, Portuguese, and Ukrainian — allowing us to provide a welcoming and inclusive experience for all our patients.
We’re passionate about orthodontics and deeply committed to compassionate, high-quality care.
We look forward to getting to know you!!
