Experienced Dental Assistant Level 2
About the Role
Our wonderful Dental Assistant is heading off to hygiene school, and while we're so excited for her next chapter, we'll definitely miss her! This means we're looking for someone who is energetic, positive, and passionate about patient care, with a desire to learn, grow, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with an August start date.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments using aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards.
Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support.
Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
Manage patient records accurately
Gather vital signs and medical history information from patients to ensure comprehensive medical documentation.
Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions using clear dental terminology.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 3-5 years dental assisting experience required
Strong knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and anatomy to ensure safe clinical practices.
Experience with dental imaging techniques including X-ray procedures and 3D scanning technology.
Familiarity with dental terminology across specialties such as prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry.
Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance procedure efficiency.
Knowledge of medical coding and documentation for accurate billing and insurance claims processing.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with patients, team members, and external healthcare providers.
