Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant Level II to join our dynamic dental team. This role provides vital support to our dental practitioners and ensures a smooth patient experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with dental software such as AbelDent, as well as knowledge of orthodontics , perio and Endo will be highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to grow professionally within a supportive healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when required
Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort
Maintain infection control standards and adhere to safety protocols
Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Assist with lab tasks related to dental appliances or orthodontic devices
Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed and materials used
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant Level II or similar role in a clinical setting
Proficiency with dental software systems such as Epic and Dentrix
Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Experience with CAD for digital impressions or lab work is preferred
Strong understanding of infection control practices and sterilization techniques
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively
Certification in dental assisting is required; additional certifications in orthodontics or pediatrics are advantageous
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $20.52-$28.00 per hour
