Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant Level II to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with experience supporting various dental procedures, including orthodontics and pediatrics. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where patient care, technical proficiency, and team collaboration are paramount. The Dental Assistant Level II will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinical operations, delivering exceptional patient experiences, and supporting the overall success of the practice.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, including restorative, orthodontic, and pediatric treatments.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all supplies are readily available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology to support accurate diagnoses.
Manage patient records efficiently using electronic health record systems such as Tracker, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures to promote long-term oral health.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying patient insurance information, and assisting as a dental receptionist when needed.
Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations by adhering to sterilization protocols and infection control standards.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience while fostering a professional and welcoming environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant Level II or similar role within a busy dental practice.
Proficiency with electronic health record systems such as Tracker is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care and treatment documentation.
Experience supporting dental procedures involving CAD technology for digital impressions or restorations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively and work collaboratively with team members.
Certification in dental assisting from an accredited program is preferred; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
