Overview

Duties
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all dental equipment is ready for procedures in compliance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques
Assist dentists chairside during various treatments including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures
Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while maintaining strict adherence to dental sterilization procedures and radiation safety protocols
Manage patient records using EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation, coding, and medical records management
Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and explain dental terminology clearly to ensure understanding
Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical assisting techniques
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic is a plus
Strong understanding of infection prevention management, sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards
Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining high standards of clinical confidentiality policies
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals
