Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of dental hygiene and patient comfort.
Duties
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, fillings, and extractions.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take dental X-rays and ensure proper handling of radiographic equipment.
Manage patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, using software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments and manage the front desk as needed.
Ensure the dental office is clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations.
Support pediatric patients with care tailored to their needs.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory.
Proficiency in taking X-rays; familiarity with 3D scanners is a plus.
Knowledge of Eaglesoft is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Aseptic technique knowledge is essential for maintaining a safe environment.
