Join the Yeti Dental Team as a Pediatric Dental Assistant!

Are you passionate about working with children and making dental visits a positive experience? As a Pediatric Dental Assistant at Magna Kids Pediatric Dentistry, you'll play an essential role in helping our young patients feel comfortable while assisting our doctors with high-quality dental care. You'll support clinical procedures, prepare treatment rooms, educate patients and parents, and help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our practice.

Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all clinical tools are ready for procedures.

Assist dentists during various treatments, including oral surgery, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, by passing instruments and managing patient comfort.

Take high-quality dental x-rays and operate medical imaging equipment while adhering to infection prevention management protocols.

Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Open Dental, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Perform chairside assisting with pediatric dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.

Conduct vital signs assessments and document medical documentation accurately for each patient visit.

Maintain strict infection control standards through proper dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Requirements
Bilingual is a plus! Spanish/English
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in pediatric dentistry procedures.

Proficiency with dental equipment including X-ray machines and other clinical tools.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice.

Experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention protocols, and healthcare infection control expertise.

Ability to operate patient management software such as Opendental efficiently.

Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry cases.

Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies (HIPAA) to safeguard patient information at all times.

Certification in dental assisting or relevant coursework is preferred; ongoing training in dental x-ray certification is a plus.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
