Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical assisting, patient management, and dental procedures, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will support dentists during procedures, ensure the smooth operation of the clinic, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Responsibilities
Assist dentists chairside during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized dental instruments and equipment, adhering to infection prevention management protocols.
Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and addressing patient questions with professionalism and empathy.
Process dental instruments according to sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed.
Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation—including 3D scanners.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting with familiarity in dental assisting techniques and procedures.
Proficiency in using patient management software such as Dentrix record keeping and appointment scheduling.
Knowledge of infection control protocols, including dental sterilization procedures and healthcare infection prevention standards.
Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other diagnostic tools safely and effectively.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients about oral health practices and treatment plans.
Commitment to maintaining clinical confidentiality policies while delivering compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Spanish is a MUST.
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
