Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Duties
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and sterilization procedures to ensure readiness for each patient appointment
Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including Prosthodontics (crowns, bridges), Orthodontics (braces adjustments), Pediatric dentistry, Oral surgery, Endodontics (root canals), and Periodontics (gum treatments)
Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates to support comprehensive patient assessment
Manage patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix, ensuring accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow efficiently
Assist with medical coding and billing processes related to dental procedures to ensure proper documentation and reimbursement
Maintain strict infection control standards through sterilization of instruments and adherence to safety protocols
Experience
Previous experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with dental assisting duties across general dentistry and specialty areas such as Orthodontics or Pediatric dentistry
Familiarity with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix is advantageous for managing digital patient records effectively
Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding enhances your ability to accurately document procedures and communicate with team members
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and security of patient information
Proven ability to perform vital signs assessment, assist during complex procedures like oral surgery or endodontic treatments, and handle medical documentation with precision
Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive attitude will help you thrive in a fast-paced dental environment
