Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a positive patient experience and support the delivery of exceptional dental care. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the clinic maintains the highest standards of infection control and safety. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to a welcoming environment that promotes oral health and patient satisfaction.

Duties
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is in proper working order using aseptic techniques.

Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and care.

Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring accurate positioning and image quality while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.

Manage patient records electronically using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, maintaining accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding.

Monitor vital signs and medical imaging as needed, supporting the overall health assessment of patients before procedures.

Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care instructions, and preventive practices to promote oral health awareness.

Collaborate seamlessly with the dental team including the dental receptionist to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient clinic operations.

Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.

Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation.

Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry.

Ability to operate dental equipment including 3D scanners, X-ray machines, and other medical imaging devices accurately.

Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and security of patient information.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly using dental terminology suitable for pediatric dentistry when needed.

Certification in radiography or X-ray technology preferred; certification in Pediatric dentistry or experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
