Job Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and be the vital link that ensures smooth, efficient, and compassionate patient care. In this energetic role, you will support dentists in delivering high-quality general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics treatments. Duties
Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and ensure all dental equipment is functioning properly using aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
Assist dentists during procedures by providing chairside support, handling dental instruments, and managing materials efficiently in four-handed dentistry setups
Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans using advanced imaging technology while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient assessments and ensure safe treatment planning
Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of procedures, diagnoses, and medical coding
Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating patient records, and managing communication with patients regarding their treatment plans
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and explain dental terminology clearly to foster understanding and comfort
Qualifications
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry preferred
Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic or similar medical documentation platforms is a plus
Strong understanding of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge, and dental terminology
Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners accurately and safely
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records and patient information
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics
Certification or training in chairside assisting, medical coding, or related fields is advantageous

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
