Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Assistant to join our team. Pay based on experience $18-$25.
**SOME EXPERIENCE REQUIRED **
The ideal candidate will be assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing patients and the work area, sterilizing instruments, taking x-rays, maintaining patient records, and educating patients on oral hygiene. They also manage inventory, schedule appointments, and handle administrative tasks related to patient care.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and manage work station.
Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar when needed.
Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Review documentation and ensure accuracy of medical records.
Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Dentrix for patient management.
Provide clerical support including filing and typing.
Address patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service over the phone and in person.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth operations within the clinic.
Skills
Proficiency in dental terminology is a bonus.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to handle medical collections and review care plans effectively.
Previous experience dental office setting is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review.
