Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our dental team.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and surgeries.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans as needed.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
Perform administrative tasks as required, including medical coding and billing.
Skills
Proficient in dental assisting techniques and procedures.
Knowledge of infection control practices within a dental setting.
Experience with Dentrix
Ability to perform four handed dentistry effectively to assist the dentist efficiently.
Capability in medical coding for accurate billing processes.
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to assist in various procedures including but not limited to X-Ray imaging.
