Job Description
Job Summary
We are a small, privately owned dental practice looking for a compassionate, dependable assistant to join our team.
Because we are a single-assistant office, this role is more than just chairside assisting. Our assistant plays an essential role in the day-to-day success of the practice and is trusted with a wide range of responsibilities that help keep the office running smoothly.
Responsibilities include:
Chairside assisting and patient care
Opening and closing the office
Managing inventory and ordering/organizing supplies
Instrument processing and sterilization monitoring
Equipment cleaning and maintenance
Tracking lab cases
Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment
Other administrative and operational duties as needed
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and takes pride in creating systems and keeping things running efficiently. We value independence and trust our team members to manage many aspects of the office with autonomy and ownership.
I have a specific workflow and style of chairside assisting that I have developed over the years, and I tend to be very detail-oriented when it comes to procedures. I am committed to being patient and thorough in training and will provide regular feedback to help my assistant learn my preferences and workflow. The ideal candidate is adaptable, open to coaching, and understands that any of this feedback is not at all to criticize them.
Most importantly: we are looking for a kind and compassionate person who is also a hard worker.
Our team is small, close-knit, and genuinely supportive of one another. The front desk team and hygienists are some of the most caring people I have had the privilege of working with, and we are looking for someone who shares those same values. We want a teammate who treats patients and coworkers with kindness and empathy.
If you are looking for a position where you can make a meaningful impact, take ownership of your work, build strong relationships with patients and coworkers, and become an integral part of a caring dental team, we would love to hear from you.
Qualifications
Experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Required DA and radiology certifications
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols
Able to take a good FMX. Experience with 3D scanners is a plus
Excellent communication skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30.00 per hour
License/Certification:
Certified Dental Assistant (Required)
Work Location: In person
