Job Description
Overview
Dental practice seeking qualified, responsible and outgoing dental assistant.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared.
Take quality (X-rays) as required.
Manage patient records, including medical documentation and treatment plans, while ensuring confidentiality.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
Perform administrative tasks such as filing, billing, and insurance verification as needed.
Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and general dentistry practices.
Skills
Proficiency with dental software systems such as Epic, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft.
Strong understanding of endodontics procedures and terminology.
Knowledge of infection control standards and practices in a dental setting.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
A proactive approach to learning new techniques and staying current with industry advancements.
Strong organizational skills to manage patient records and appointment schedules effectively.
