Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients by providing exceptional support to our dentists and hygienists. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care, including vital sign checks and preparing treatment areas.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using Eaglesoft software.
- Utilize 3D scanners and other technology to enhance patient care and improve treatment outcomes.
- Demonstrate a keen understanding of aseptic technique to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Participate in pediatric dentistry and provide gentle and reassuring care to young patients.
- Perform general dentistry tasks, including suctioning, polishing, and taking radiographs.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of medical documentation and dental terminology.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient practice operations.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Experience with Eaglesoft software is an asset.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry and general dentistry procedures is essential.
- Aseptic technique and infection control practices are crucial for this role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to provide exceptional patient care and interact effectively with the dental team.
