We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team. Experience in various dental specialties such as pediatrics and orthodontics is a plus.
Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and maintaining inventory of dental supplies.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred.
Proficiency in dental software (Open Dental) is highly desirable.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy environment.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.
